Dr. Sean Healy’s Education, Expertise, and Family Life
Dr. Sean Healy graduated cum laude from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science in Zoology in 1994. He earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) from Baylor College of Dentistry in 1999, where he graduated fifth in his class. Following dental school, Dr. Healy completed his General Practice Residency at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth in 2000 and later his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Residency at the University of Texas Medical Branch in 2006. To further refine his expertise, he completed an Oral Implantology Fellowship at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas/California Implant Institute.
A respected professional in his field, Dr. Healy is a member of the Academy of Osseointegration (AO) and both a member and fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI). His dedication to advancing oral surgery and implant dentistry has led him to co-author multiple articles in esteemed publications such as the Texas Dental Journal and the Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dr. Healy’s family life is central to who he is. His beloved wife, Rebecca, serves as the office manager at their Santa Fe practice, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for every patient. Together, they are raising two daughters who share their love for the outdoors. The Healy family enjoys hiking, skiing, gardening, and spending quality time together throughout the year. Their home is also full of life, with three dogs, two cats, and three aquariums of fish. Their daughters often suggest adding more pets to the mix, keeping Sean and Rebecca on their toes and constantly finding creative reasons not to expand their already lively menagerie.
